One of the most exciting things is learning to write in cursive! I often have first graders tell me they are practicing writing their name in cursive to prepare for this skill. What fun it is to learn this new and grown-up way in which to write. Some students catch on quite quickly. Others require a great deal of practice. I thought it would be nice to show examples of the style of handwriting we use at Resurrection School. Below you will find examples of both the manuscript and the cursive alphabets. We begin cursive in the third grading period. It is a skill that is simply introduced in second grade. Students need to be proficient in cursive by the end of third grade.
