OCTOBER
"NATIONAL FIRE SAFETY MONTH"

It is very important for your child to know the basic fire safety rules. We spend the month of October reviewing these rules in our classroom. We are fortunate to have the German Township Volunteer Firefighters come to our classroom each year to talk to the children about at home fire safety.


Have you planned two exits from your home?

Do you have a meeting place established outside your home?

Do you have a fire extinguisher in your home?

Has it been check or refilled recently?

When is the last time you changed the batteries in your smoke detector?


These are all things the firefighters discuss with the children. Always be prepared!
