A couplet is a poem in which lines one and lines two rhyme. This pattern continues throughout the poem. Enjoy some of my favorite couplets.
Welcome to Second Grade
Mrs. Barth and Mrs. Green,
The best two teachers you've ever seen!
They both teach at Resurrection School.
Our Second grade is really cool!
They welcome you to a brand new year.
You have nothing at all to fear!
We’ll learn so many things you’ll be surprised.
The year will be gone before you blink your eyes!
